Who these terms are between
These terms are between you (the customer making or authorising the booking) and Amma Tours and Travels, trading as Amma Tours & Travels, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. You can reach us on WhatsApp or call at +91 88672 65700, any time, 24 hours a day.
How a booking is made and confirmed
A booking starts as an enquiry — over WhatsApp, a phone call, or a form on this site — where you tell us the pickup point, drop point, date, time and the vehicle you want. We reply with the fare for that trip. A booking is only confirmed once we've told you the vehicle, driver details and fare in writing (a WhatsApp message or call-back counts as written confirmation), and — where an advance is required — once that advance has been received. We'll tell you at the time of enquiry whether an advance applies to your booking and how much it is; this varies by trip type and isn't fixed across all bookings.
Please double-check the pickup address, date and time you give us. If any of these were wrong when you booked, tell us as early as possible so we can try to correct the trip — we can't guarantee a fix once a driver is already en route.
Fare basis
Our fares depend on the type of trip:
| Trip type | How it's priced |
|---|---|
| Outstation one-way and round trip | Per kilometre, by vehicle class — see our outstation rates |
| Airport transfer | A fixed fare by pickup/drop area and vehicle class |
| Local rental (Bengaluru city) | A package price for a fixed number of hours and kilometres, with extra-km and extra-hour rates beyond that |
| Tour package | A quoted price covering transport and hotels, confirmed before you travel |
| Driver hire (your own vehicle) | A monthly or per-day rate, driver only |
| Tempo traveller, bus, valet parking | Quoted for your specific requirement |
Every fare we quote is confirmed with you before the trip, whether over WhatsApp or by phone. If you'd like to see our published rates first, they're on our airport, outstation and local rates page.
What's included and what's charged separately
Included in every fare: the vehicle, a licensed driver, fuel, and air conditioning.
Charged separately, on top of the fare:
- Driver allowance (bata) — payable on outstation trips. The amount is quoted before you book; we haven't published a fixed figure because it varies by trip length and duration.
- Tolls and parking — actual toll and parking charges are added to your bill.
- Night charges — may apply depending on pickup/drop time; if they apply to your trip, we'll tell you the amount before you confirm.
- Waiting charges — if a trip involves waiting time beyond what's normal for that booking (for example, waiting at a hospital or for a flight delay), a per-hour waiting charge may apply. We quote this before it's charged, not after.
- Inter-state permit charges — outstation trips that cross into Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Goa attract state permit charges. These are quoted before you book, since they vary by destination state.
- Airport parking/entry fee, where the airport authority charges one.
None of these are hidden charges — they're standard costs on any cab trip in India, and we tell you which ones apply to your specific trip and what they'll cost before you confirm the booking.
Vehicle substitution
If the exact vehicle you booked becomes unavailable — due to a breakdown, an emergency, or a scheduling conflict — we may substitute a different vehicle of the same class (for example, one sedan model for another) at no extra cost to you. If we can only offer a higher class of vehicle at short notice, we'll tell you before the trip and agree the fare with you first. We will not send a smaller or lower-capacity vehicle than you booked without your agreement.
Passenger conduct
We ask every passenger to:
- Not smoke inside the vehicle.
- Not consume alcohol or any intoxicating substance inside the vehicle, or travel in a state that puts the driver or other passengers at risk.
- Not carry any item that is illegal to transport under Indian law.
- Treat the driver and vehicle with respect. Abusive behaviour towards the driver, or deliberate damage to the vehicle, may end the trip without a refund, and you'll be liable for the cost of any damage caused.
- Wear seatbelts where fitted, and ensure children are seated safely.
Luggage
Standard luggage allowance follows our fleet's stated capacity — for example, a sedan carries 2 large bags plus 1 cabin bag; an Innova Crysta or Hycross carries 4 large bags plus 2 cabin bags. See the full breakdown on our fleet page. If you're carrying more luggage than your vehicle's stated capacity, tell us when you book so we can suggest a larger vehicle — we can't guarantee extra luggage fits on the day if we weren't told in advance.
Liability
We take reasonable care in selecting drivers and maintaining our fleet, but we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, accidents involving other vehicles, or events outside our reasonable control. Our liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the fare paid for that specific trip; we are not liable for indirect losses such as a missed flight, missed event, or consequential loss arising from a delay. Personal belongings left in the vehicle remain your responsibility — please check the vehicle before you get out. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law.
Force majeure
We are not liable for a failure or delay in providing a trip where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including natural disasters, floods, landslides, extreme weather, strikes, road closures, curfews, government orders, or civil unrest. Where such an event affects your trip, we will try to inform you as early as possible and work with you on rescheduling.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation windows, charges, no-show terms and refund timelines are set out separately in our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which applies to every booking alongside these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or the law. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India and the State of Karnataka. Any dispute arising from a booking with Amma Tours & Travels is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
